The corn motif of this exquisite Zuni Necklace is widely utilized throughout all Native American Indians aspects of living. Corn has a position in Pueblo culture above that of any other food source. Tracey Bowekaty has hand carved this unique turquoise necklace to resemble and represent the high esteem for corn in the Native culture. Each piece in the necklace and the earrings, is carved individually. The carved Turquoise has been set in Solid Sterling Silver and has a finished rope design which frames each individual ear of corn! (The colored kernels include jet, dark turquoise and lapis.) The matching earrings are posts with clutch backs. The links between each 'ear of corn' are hand fashioned to complete a 20" length. Because of the simple hook closure, you are able to shorten this necklace so that it complements any neckline you choose.
