This fantastic Bolo Tie and Matching Buckle are by the renown Artist Dennis Edaakie. The Roadrunner is delicately placed within the Arizona Cactus on each piece of this awesome set! The Bolo Tie is 2 inches tall and is 2 1/8 inches wide at the widest point. The Buckle is 2 1/4 inches tall and 2 3/4 inches wide. Dennis Edaakie uses a difficult overlay-inlay technique that produces some of the most detailed handmade jewelry in the world: two pieces of silver, one with the design cut out, are welded together and then precisely cut stone and shell pieces are inset into the cutout area. His jewelry depicts images of Southwestern life including cardinals, roadrunners, cacti and Native ritual figures. The detail and surrounding accents in this set are phenomenal! The Inlay work contains, Mother of Pearl, Jet, Coral, Opal, Shell and Turquoise. The Leather Cord has Six Sterling Barrels and the Sterling Tips. It is 41 inches long including the tips. Both pieces are signed Dennis E. This Bolo Tie and Buckle set was made in the late 60's or early 70's.
