Handmade Turquoise Navajo Pearl Squash Blossom Earrings by Native Amerian artist Monica Smith. Earrings measures 2- 1/2" long including the ear wires and 1" wide. Stamped MS and sterling.
Navajo Monica Smith is widely known in the industry mostly for her Navajo sterling baby rattles (Which have a a Navajo Pearl end on both ends) & now has extended her art to designing other forms of Navajo Pearl jewelry..
Made in a traditional Navajo style,Monica made these all by hand. These are not commercially made machine pressed beads that are then attached to the ear wire, but the bead is built from scratch by Monica & then set each little round cabochon of turquoise in a channel setting that follows the circular form. The turquoise sits in their own hand made serrated bezel.
