RETIRED - Trail of Painted Ponies ' Fancy Dancer'. See below for more information.

This is a Trail Of Painted Ponies, Fancy Dancer. We classify this pony as 'imperfect' as the feathers show some wear. However, this pony is brand new, and comes in it's original box, with Styrofoam and hang tag. Dancer is now a retired pony and very difficult to find. The Fancy Dance evolved from the early Plains tribes war and victory dances. It is an energetic style of dance, usually performed by younger men who spin, twist and make quick steps and fast turns. Their outfits are traditionally composed of lots of bright colors, metallic beads, sequins and ribbons which create a flashy display. This unique creation by a Virginia artist, Devon Archer, won The People's Choice Award in the national competition, The Native Art of Horse Painting. This pony is complete with a box and a tag. Retired: February 2010; Material: Resin; Size: 7"' Form: Walking Marked: 1/8109
